Kohti has an elegant silhouette, with a slight back support that flows smoothly into the armrests. The sleek lines and smooth joints of the frame are made of powder-coated steel tubing. It adapts to various interiors due to its attractive simplicity, versatility, and durability. To create it, we used all the design baggage and attention to detail inherited from already implemented products. The stool expresses the art of transforming the surroundings with a recycled seat. Inviting you to a sustainable future that values new, meaningful products, recycled materials, while maintaining harmony with the environment. The name (from the Finnish "towards") metaphorically plays on the dialogue between two opposite sides about overproduction. Leading to the idea of simultaneous oncoming movement: to try to preserve the environment, but also to change along with it. It is impossible to bottle up the world in an unchanged state. The future will still come. Then let's make it beautiful! A recycled plastic seat was created for us by the Odessa workshop Precious plastic Ukraine. The 20 mm thick canvas is made from recycled HDPE polyethylene, the raw material for which was used white and black shampoo bottles. This is a super-material not only due to recycling, but also due to its functional properties: non-toxic, resistant to solar UV radiation, withstands low temperatures, is not afraid of water, acids, alkalis. For its manufacture, for starters, the vials are collected, washed, sorted and crushed with special grinders. After that, the granules of the desired colors are mixed and subjected to heating and compression under pressure, obtaining a flat plate. After the plastic has hardened, the product of the desired shape is cut out on a CNC machine, and, voila, the seat is ready! Designer: Sergey Lvov. Year of creation: 2021
